Playing catch up

It's been ages since I last added anything to my blog.  I've been busy with family matters and only really had time for Parchment cards.  So here is a long, long list of what I've been doing.

This is a card I made back in November from a children's drawing.

The butterfly card is from a new book I have by Gerti Hoffman called The art of painting.  I have used my Derwent Studio pencils to colour the butterflies.

This card is made using a combination of patterns from Pat Hosking's and a Siesta Multi Grid (no 13 for the circular pattern).  I traced the violets with fine liner pens and used felt pens to add colour.

This lovely card is designed by one of my favourite designers, Judith Maslen.  It's called Bike Ride and was published in the June 2012 issue of Parchment Craft Magazine.  I have used Derwent Studio pencils for the colour.

Another of Judith Maslen's patterns, this time from Parchment Craft Magazine April 2008 and called Flight of the Kite

A lovely spring card called Delightful Daffodils by Kay James from Parchment Craft Magazine January 2013.  The flowers are coloured using Derwent Studio pencils.

This one is called Buckets of Love and is another by Kay James from Parchment Craft Magazine June 2012.  I've used dorso for the colour and Woodware punches (Daisy and Multi Sunflower) for the flowers adding little pearls.

I made this Easter card for my Mother-in-Law.  It is a pattern by Josie Davidson called Easter Primrose from Parchment Craft Magazine Marchj 2013.  Felt pens have been used for the colour.

This little cute card is All of a Flutter by Christine Coleman from Parchment Craft Magazine June 2012.  I used dorse for the background colour and traced the rest with a fine liner.

I love this little cat.  The design is called Peek a Boo and is by Gail Sydenham from Parchment Craft Magazine December 2010.  I used Derwent Studio pencils for the cat.

Quiet Moments is by Dorothy Holness and was from Parchment Craft Magazine June 2009.  Derwent Studio pencils were used for the lady and felt pens on the reverse for the stained glass window.

This is Home on Wheels by Judith Maslen.  It is coloured with felt pens (sorry not a great photo).

This card was for a swap that called for threaded ribbon.  I used a pattern by Pat Hosking from her book Parchment Craft for Pleasure.

Another Pat Hosking design from the same book.  This one is called Pop-up Dasies, which are coloured using felt pens..

This lovely birthday card is from a design by Judith Maslen called In The Garden.  It is coloured using Derwent Studio pencils.

This lovely design is by Tina Cox and is called Pink Flower.  It was in Parchment Craft Magazine 2008.  The flowers are coloured with felt pens.

This is a pattern by Gerti Hoffman that was given away by the online shop Wightcat.  I used blue velum for the first layer and then ordinary parchment coloured on the reverse with dorso.  The flower is coloured with felt pens (on the reverse).

This is a pattern by Ann Jennings from Parchment Craft Magazine September 2008.

Another lovely Judith Maslen patterns, this one called A Place in the Sun from Parchment Craft Magazine June 2010.  I've used felt pens for the colour.

Tea for Two is another pattern by Judith Maslen.  I've used dorso on the reverse to give it a bit of colour.

This is Lily of the Valley by Christine Coleman from Parchment Craft Magazine January 2009.  I've used Dorso for the background colour and the leaves are coloured using felt pens.
Finally, this card is from a pattern by Christine Coleman called Three.  It was in Parchment Craft Magazine 2010.

Notebook and candle

This set I made for a Christmas swap.  The stamp set I used is All of a Twitter by Elusive Images which I coloured with felt pens, adding a bit of Sakura Stardust/bling for added sparkle.  The background on the note book is embossed using Cuttlebug Birds and Swirls.

Special Earrings

On our Parchment group we were set a challenge to try something we hadn't done before.  I decided to make something 3D with parchment.

These earrings are from a pattern by Alison Yeates from Parchment Craft Magazine May 2010.  First I had to colour some plain parchment with fuchsia, violet and green ink on both sides.  I traced the pattern onto the coloured parchment and then shaped them by embossing.  The stamens are made using headpins and seed beads.

Christmas presents

I made a few pieces of jewellery to give as Christmas presents.

This little bracelet was a present for me.  I made it using beads that had been given to me by a very kind man called Phil.

I made this for my really good friend Lucy.  She has such style that I wanted to make something a little different so I made it using a beautiful leaf toggle that I set off-centre.

This is a little brooch made in the shape of a Trilliam flower from seed beads.

These little shamabal bracelets were made for presents to go with money.
