Crafty Cardmakers Challenge 78 - Shaped Card using a Reindeer or Two

The Challenge at Crafty Cardmakers is hosted this week by Tracey.  She says that
as Christmas will be here before we know it, we would like to see a shaped card featuring a reindeer or two. I made a simple stand-up card that folds flat for posting.   I decorated the mechanism using DP from Bo Bunny Father Christmas paper.  Then I cut out four reindeer using Tim Holtz Alternations dies.  I embossed each one with a different Cuttlebug folder - D'vine Swirls, Holly, Snowflakes and Swiss Dots then smeared some Crystal Stickles over them.  These were then added to the card using foam pads.  I punched a snowflake (X-Cut) out of the green card and added some more stickles.  The sentiment is from Whimsey Holiday Pennants and cut it out with a Woodware mini tag.

Dream Valley Challenge 44 - Glitter and Bling

This week our challenge at Dream Valley is Glitter and Bling.  So, let's see how sparkly you can make your creations.  We are sponsored by the lovely Sassy Studios who are offering 4 of their lovely images to one lucky person.

 

 

I went with lots of glitter for my card - well how could I resist, LOL.  First I stamped the flower stamp (PaperMania PM1022) in Black StazOn onto acetate.  Then using my quickie glue pen I added glitter in shades of mauve and silver to the reverse.  Then I cut a circle aperture out of a piece of mauve pearlescent card using Nesties and rounded off the top corners using a Woodware corner rounder.  I mounted the acetate behind the aperture then matted it onto some white card, rounding the corners again and punching the bottom with a Stampin' Up scallop punch. I used the strip of white card that was left over to add to the front, edging it with silver border peel-offs and also added then round the edge of the aperture.  My background DP is by PaperMania (Creative Tones in Amethyst Infusion) and ran silver border peel-offs round the edge.  Finally for an added bit of bling I added some bling flowers.

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge 77 - Autumn or Autumn Festivals

Our challengeat Crafty Cardmakers this week is 'Autumn or Autumn Festivals - NOT Hallowe'en' and is hosted by Josephine

Josephine says 'There are always so many Hallowe'en challenges around! So instead of creating a Hallowe'en card I would like to see something that depicts the Season of Autumn, or maybe Harvest Festival, Guy Fawkes, Diwali or some other festival that happens in the Autumn. If your theme is a lesser-known festival, please tell us about it in your post! But remember, this is not a Hallowe'en challenge!

I decided to go for Autumn and got out a Cuttlebug die that has lots of lovely leaves.  I cut them in various shades of browns/oranges plus some old gold.  The lovely sentiment is from Stampscapes.  Quite a simple card but very effective.

 

Dream Valley Challenge 43 - Halloween

I decided to get out my old Tilda with Lantern stamp.  I stamped her with Versafine Onyx Black onto watercolour paper and then painted her using Whispers pens, adding a little bit of sparkle with Sakura Stardust pens.  The DP is from Stampin' Up Designer Series.  I stamped the little pumpkins from SU Fall Whimsey onto purple card using Elegant Eggplant and stamped three extra onto darker card which I cut out and added sparkle to.  The zig zag strip was a Cuttlebug folder from the Just My Type set and the sentiment was hand written.

 

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge 76 - Indian Summer

Our challenge over at Crafty Cardmakers is called Indian Summer and is hosted by Mynnette
Mynnette would like to see a created scene using any nature themed stamps you have, digis welcome. Examples of nature themed stamps are leaves, grasses, wildflowers, etc. Anything nature and autumn! Plus use only oranges, yellows, and reds for colors (black/brown and white/cream are allowed as well). Perhaps a sentiment of gratitude or autumn would also be appropriate!

I decided to get out my brayer to make my card and an ink pad I've had for simply ages but was still in it's wrappings!  It's the gorgeous Aurora ink pad by Brilliance.  After brayering the ink onto white card I used a torn piece of paper and Stampin' Up Basic Gray to sponge some foreground, then added the lovely pheasant and grasses from the SU Autumn Days set in the same ink.  Finally I added my sentiment from the Hero Arts Anytime Messages.
