Dream Valley Challenge 42 - Go Pink

I got out my old Tilda stamps and used Tilda Dressed up.  I coloured her with Whispers pens and then paper pieced her dress using scraps of DP and a little Sakura Stardust pen to give her a bit of sparkle.  I cut her out with a rectangle Nestability and used the scalloped one to matt her onto. The background DP was also from my scrap box.  I used a Stampin Up Scallop punch for the strip of pink card and wrapped a ribbon round it finishing off with a flower with a brad at the centre.

How long did it take? . . .

. . . I started a bracelet just after Christmas and now it's finally finished.  It did take a long time to do but mainly because I would do an inch of the fringing and then put it down for a month or two, lol.
 

This is called a slug bracelet.  First I made the base using clear seed beads.  Then I added the fringing, one stack at a time.

Tigers, fairies and flowers

I've been playing with my parchment recently.

 

The first card is for a man.  It's a pattern by Ann Jennings called Tiger Tiger that was published in Parchment Craft Magazine in June 2010.  I drew the tiger with black pen and the border with gold pen.  I coloured the tiger on the reverse using Derwent Studio pencils.  The gridwork was done on a large straight grid.

 

 

The second card is a pattern by Judith Maslen called A New Friend which was published in Parchment Magazine in August 2011.  Again this was coloured with Derwent Studio pencils.

 

 

Finally I made a coaster and mini card.  They was adapted from patterns by Christine Coleman publihsed in Parchment Magazine in January 2011.

 

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge 74 - Winged Things

I decided to get out some of my Stampin' Up supplies for my card.  I used the lovely SU Nature's Walk set to stamp the bird and eggs onto some DP (SU Botanical Gazette) in SU Early Expresso and the sentiment (SU You're a Gem) was stamped in SU Old Olive.  I then matted and layered this onto brown card.  I then matted some nice green card onto my card blank and stamped the grass stamp from the same set onto it using SU Old Olive adding a strip of the butterfly paper from the same DP selection.  Finally I stamped the number on a scrap of paper and tucked it behind the image.

 

Dream Valley Challenge 40 - Something Old, Something New

Sorry I'm so late with this post but I've had major internet troubles!

Anyway.  The theme this week at Dream Valley is to use something old and something new from your stash.  We have 3 great sponsors - first One Stop Card Crafts are offering a £10 voucher for their shop, next Crafty Ribbons are offering one lucky person a Bev's Ribbon Bag, and finally Joanna Sheen is offering a £10 voucher for use in her shop.

 

I decided to make a stepped card.  My new stash was my DP paper from Stampin' Up in Subtle shades.  Also new are my Marianne Creatable dies Ithe great sail like ones and the flowers as well as the arch over the top) and the SU Beautiful Wings die (the butterflies).  My old stash was, of course, my Penny  Black stamps (Micey Day/hugs/Critter Party) coloured with my ancient Whispers pens plus a bit of added Sakura Stardust pen.  The sentiment (old foam stamp) is cut with Circle Nestabilieis which I believe were the first Nesties I ever bought.
