This week at Crafty Cardmakers the theme is Embossing. Now this can be heat embossing with your inks and embossing powders, or dry embossing either by hand or by machine. We have a prize for one lucky winner of a £10 voucher to spend in Joanna Sheen's online shop. Go check out the other cards made by the DT, they are fabulous.
For my card I decided to dig through my old supplies and use things I haven't played with for ages. I started with this beautiful Poppy stamp from Crafty Individuals (CI 120) that I'm ashamed to say I have had for ages and not got round to inking up before!!! I stamped it then embossed it with detailed black EP. Then I coloured it using my lovely Starburst Stains that I've also had for ages. I used Ponsettia Red Gold, Cathedral Pines Green and Winter Jasmine Gold. I matted and layered the image onto green card and then cut a piece of gold card the same size and embossed it using one of the first folders I ever bought - D'vine swirls. The bg paper was a bargain some time ago but I'm afraid there is no label on it and I added some textured gold card behind it. The little gold coin was one of the first embellishments I bought. Finally I added my lovely organza ribbon with a big double bow.
I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges:
Sweet Sketches - Sketch 101
Gingersnap Creations - Red and Gold (CG100)
