Crafty Cardmakers Challenge No 11

This is my card for Crafty Cardmakers blog. The challenge is to use something that is a favourite with you this year. I chose a stamp from a set I bought a few months ago from Kodomo called Birds. I love these stamps because they are so detailed (and were cheap, lol). It is stamped with Brilliance Black onto white card, then mounted onto silver. The sentiment is a peel-off from Anita and is stuck to a matching piece of silver. Both pieces are mounted onto a piece of white card that I have run through my Cuttlebug using the birds and swirls folder and then mounted the whole on a white blank card.

All ready for Christmas . . . at last

Well, I finally made ALL my Christmas cards. I left it so late I didn't think I would get it done so I spent 2 solid days on them. They all had a little bit of stamping on and printed background paper but I was quite pleased with them. It then meant I had 2 days to get 9 Parchment cards done for my Parching friends. They were all quite simple, not too much embossing, lots of colouring and I cheated with most of the edges by using decorative scissors! Next year I WILL start earlier, LOL. Here are a few of them

Altered CD

I had signed up for an Altered CD swap (my idea of course, lol) and was a bit late with my entry. I was pleased with how it eventually turned out and will now get a move on and make some more. This one has gone to a friend as an Alternative Christmas Card. The background paper is from a Dovecraft set called Victorian Christmas. The stamped image is a stamp (you don't say!) from Oyster Craft and is stamped in brown StazOn then a bit of colour added with Whispers Pens and Sakura glitter pen. The little tag is stamped with a free stamp from Craft Stamper and the beads are from my rather small (ha ha ha) stash.

Melvyn gets a new home

This is Melvyn. Emboldened by his friend Minxy (I should add his fabulous, elegant friend) he decided to leave Lapland and go somewhere he would be appreciated. He was NEVER picked to pull the sleigh - some rubbish about standing out too much. As he said, who wants to be just one of the herd? He rather fancied somewhere wild and rugged (apparently like his personality so he says) but what he really needs is a bit of pampering and some tlc. I decided to send him off to Anglesey to live with my friend Madge as she fitted the bill perfectly. I did have to warn her to keep him away from Bacardi Breezers!
