My first sketch challenge

I made this card today using the sketch from Sketch Saturday blog. I used a Penny Black stamp (coloured with Whispers pens and Sakura Stardust pens) and the patterned backing paper is from the Pocketful of Posies pad (DCWV). The flowers are embossed with a Cuttlebug folder (With Love) and the little pearls are PaperMania. The sweet little sentiments stamp is from Hampton Arts and the charm is from my stash.

Card Making for beginners

A brand new blog has started today complete with BLOG CANDY!!! Its called Crafty Cardmakers and is aimed at new and inexperienced card makers and bloggers. It has been set up by my friend Vix. It is choc full of lots of useful information about blogging and card making and will have challenges, tutorials, how to sessions and Q&A. The first challenge will be on 10th August and I am rather chuffed that Vix has asked me to be a member of the Design Team. So, see you there!

Quick parchment card

I haven't played with my parchment stuff for ages so got it out and made this quick card. The back of the parchment is coloured with Whispers Pens and the design on the flowers is made with a large and a small sun tool

Crafty Goings On Challenge

Do I want a set of 27 Copic Pens? Oh boy do I! so I've made a wallet for my entry. To enter visit their site (http://www.charmedcrafts.blogspot.com/). Anyway, my image is a Tilda and I've coloured her with a Koi brush and Whisper Pens and the flowers with Sakura Stardust pens and I've even Cuttlebugged the background (swirls and textiles folders).

ATC fun

I made this ATC for a swap and enjoyed it enormously. I created the background using lots of different inks then stamped on the bg with the teabag stamp and then embossed the teapot and cup (brown ink and japanese laquer ep). Lots of fun! The stamps were from a set by Kars.

Today I have been

using up some backgronds that I had made some time ago. They are made with Twinkling H2Os. I then added images using some new stamps.

The first is made using stamps from a set from River City Rubber Works (Dandelions) and the text stamp is from Stampscapes (Scenic Sentiments 4). I also used my beloved Cuttlebug (birds and swirls folder).

The second card is stamped with a face from the new Stamp Attack plate (faces) and background paper from Papermania Sweet Nothings

Then I used up some backgrounds that had sponged in on them.

The first one uses a stamp from PaperArtsy Wings Plate 3 and background paper from a lovely K&Co Pad (Life's Journey)

This one is a Crafty Individuals stamp and Basic Grey Insignia swirls

Then another of those lovely Stamp Attack faces with more Cuttlebug (swiss dots) and paper from the gorgeous DCWV Pocket full of Posies

And finally I used a background made with Moon Shadow inks, stamped it with a lovely image from the Wings 4 Plate (PaperArtsy) and stamped the backing with a Crown stamp that came free with Craft Stamper.

All in all a very creative day.

Well here goes . . .

I wasn't sure about starting a Blog but have finally taken the plunge. I am very much into card making and hopefully this will encourage me to experiment. Well, we will just have to see how it goes.
